I just found you (after falling in love with you on Jenks), so pardon my ignorance, but have you tried any alternative treatments? Gerson therapy, or whatever Kris Carr does in her CrazySexyCancer regimen? The Gerson movie on Netflix seems pretty convincing, though I admit I don't know personally know if it works. If another reader can answer or point me to where she's discussed it, appreciated too. You're a beautiful inspiration, and I'm happy I didn't cancel MTV before you showed up on my screen. Fight, rest, cry, laugh... you are pure love.
I just want to say thank you for keeping up with this blog even with everything you are going through. I myself have Ewing's Sarcoma. I'm getting ready to have a full knee/ upper tibia replacement then 10 more rounds of chemo. Reading your blog helps me feel like I'm not alone and for that, I thank you.
Gerson therapy is fittingly mentioned in a post about cancer quacks!
And... I started this blog to be the anti- Kris Carr, basically. The woman's disease has never been life-threatening and she's never NEEDED traditional therapies to save her life. It's not the juice that keeps her cancer at bay, though if you can afford it, healthy raw foods are optimal. Not always an option on chemo. Her public image is that of a cancer fraud in my book.
but if she or gerson therapy helps you, more power to you.
Wow, ok. I honestly never delved deeper than the surface of her claims, so I just assumed it was legit. I meant no harm at all. I know it must be annoying having strangers act like experts. Sincerest apologies, and I wish you well.
I am a fashion designer and writer diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer called Ewing's Sarcoma. This is my attempt to document my process and provide inspiration for other twenty-somethings who refuse to go the way of headscarves and hospital gowns. I mean, really? Cancer is fucking hilarious.
